So, everybody likes iPhone. More often, your iPhone is passed to some people anytime of the day. You sometimes can’t refuse if your friend, family members or colleagues wanted to take a look of your iPhone and you are afraid they will browse through the pictures or camera roll when they said they’ll just play a game.
Again, the jailbreak developers are now stepping in to provide solution of what seems lacking from the iOS. Here are two procedures for hiding pictures in your iPhone. First is a jailbreak tweak called “Hide n Seek” and the other is a procedure done inside your iPhone directory using iFile.
Hide n Seek
This is a very easy tweak which can easily be downloaded through Cydia for free. This gives you’re the option to hide all the pictures in your camera roll or just hide certain pictures.
Hide certain pictures using iFile
If you don’t like to hide pictures using a tweak like the “Hide n Seek”, here is another option for a jailbroken iPhone by using iFile, which allows you to navigate through the iPhone file system. Your media files will be found, by default, to var/mobile/Media.
1. Create a new directory/folder in your iPhone which could be anywhere. I suggest yuou can easily create inside var/mobile/Media since you’re now inside with this directory. Take note: Do not create inside an application folder, iPhone root directory or “system-ish” folders.
2. After creating a new folder, navigate to var/mobile/Media/DCIM/100APPLE folder and look for the pictures you want to hide.
3. Copy the pictures you had selected and paste them into your new directory. DO NOT DELETE the pictures.
4. After you made a copy of the pictures you want to hide, go to your Camera App and delete the pictures you recently copied. You can delete them like you normally do.
That’s it! It’s not so hard hiding pictures in your iPhone. Please remember that you can follow these procedures if your iPhone is jailbroken. Enjoy!
