The untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.0.1 was finally released and now was more stable than the first day it was made available in the public. Thanks to the effort of the famous iOS hacker @pod2g for finding the exploit and made a jailbreak out of it. The Chronic-Dev Team has able to merge the latest untethered jailbreak for iOS 5 to the latest RedSn0w update which is version 0.9.10b1. The procedure is quiet simple than the previous versions and is very easy to use even for newbie in jailbreaking world.
This jailbreak is only available for all iDevices with A4 processors including the iPod Touch 3rd and 4th gen, iPhone 3G/3GS and the iPad 1. Please take note that this jailbreak will not work to iPhone 4S and the iPad 2.
Please take note that you need to have an iDevice running with iOS 5.0.1. If you haven’t updated yet, please update now before trying this procedure. For users that depend on unlock, use the Custom IPSW option found in RedSn0w before jailbreaking to preserve your baseband.
